1st time here. Friends wedding and reception. Fantastic! Great food and friendly staff.

Would recommend Altahammond House for everything.
My son had his wedding at this beautiful venue just recently.
Heather and Tom with all their staff were fantastic. It was a brilliant day from start to finish.
Can’t thank them enough. From accommodating our early start to the needs of all the guests, quite simply 5 stars is not enough.

We recently had our wedding here and all I can say is wow, the venue is fantastic. Heather and Tom were a credit on the day and the run up to the big day. The food was second to none and no one went hungry at all. The size of the venue is phenomenal giving everybody the chance to sit inside or enjoy the sun outside. I cannot recommend this place enough and thank you for making our day so special.

Just had our wedding here on the 9th of July and all I can say this place is fantastic from the decor of the place to the friendly welcome and love and care put into every little detail, we truly can’t thank u all enough for everything use did for us, it was the most beautiful day and made all the more special by use, would highly recommend altahammond who is looking for a beautiful place to stay or to have a gorgeous function/wedding thank u all so much

It was the most beautiful set up for a wedding I have ever seen.
From the very beginning just visiting the venue Heather & Tom were incredible.
Every last detail was thought about.
They were so attentive to not all our guests but even more the bridal party. making sure we had food and drink.
they really do go over the top and that extra 50miles. and it is so appreciated.
The venue,the food, the staff are second to none, whole atmosphere was unreal.
all our guests are still taking.
I only wish we had more opportunities to do the day all over again.
if you could get stars out of 10
we would be giving you 100.
I think my husband and I have gained two friends for life.

As a wedding photographer, I have just shot my first wedding in this amazing venue. It was the worst weather of the year, raining and blowing a gale. I was blown away for a different reason though. So many photo opportunities and the warmest welcome from Heather and Tom and their staff. The food was out of this world too and the whole place was immaculate. Highly recommend and I really hope I will get to work here again in the future.

Attended as a guest on 5th June. This place is magical! Tucked away in a converted farmhouse, stables and barn setting overlooking the sea. Tastefully converted while retaining old charm, this venue offers fantastic service, a beautiful function room and old style cosy bar area. Perfect for weddings up to 100 without compromising comfortable space for numbers of guests. Highly recommended!

As a wedding photographer for the past 16 years living in Carrickfergus, believe me when I tell you Altahammond Wedding Barn was meant to be here. Altahammond truly is magic! You have to visit the place to feel it, and once you have, you will never want to leave.

Heather & Tom are what many would call “the salt of the earth” I truly believe this. Their warmth, kindness and love is seen and felt in every inch of the place, their heart for people is just incredible. They are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet, and from the moment you do meet them you will feel like you have known them all your life.

Altahammond itself holds a special place in my heart, always will. I fell for it’s charm the first day I walked in and that feeling has never faded.

I had never heard of Altahammond barn before, the place is a beautiful quirky venue with so many different cosy rooms to move around during the day.

The staff were absolutely fantastic… very friendly & attentive to the guests.

The food was lovely… we definitely were not going home hungry, it was not just quantity but also quality.

We are so glad to have been invited to a wedding at this lovely place!

The venue is well laid out & beautifully presented. It would suit any occasion.
Being outside looking over the Lough it looked like we were on holiday.
The staff who were there that day to help out were lovely & the food served was so good. They even took the time to let my daughter see around the grounds & let her feel involved.

I could not recommend this venue and the owners of this venue highly enough, Heather and Tom Mc Master and their wonderful staff.
Nothing was of any trouble and they went out of their way on a number of occasions to ensure things went smoothly.

Katherine, myself and our two twin boys celebrated our wedding at Altahammond House on the 10/10/2020 in the midst of the Covid Pandemic yet we had an absolutely amazing day. Heather and Tom are wonderful people who have a wonderful venue. The effort they have put into making our day so special was amazing. I would just like to thank Heather and Tom for being there for Katherine and I when we had our moments throughout the Covid announcements. Heather was always able to place a positive spin on the situation and cheer us up! Our guests have been raving about this venue! Heathers recommendations for alternative entertainment and cake makers meant that this was one less thing for us to worry about. The grounds and bedrooms are so unique. Katherine and I will never be able to say thank you enough. For anyone looking at this and arrange their wedding or special event, please contact Heather or Tom and book your special day.

We had the reception of my son Barry and daughter in law Colleen at Altnahammond on the 21/08/21. Absolutely faultless Heather and Tom will move heaven and earth to ensure you have the perfect day. As soon as you walk through the doors you know your in for a special day. The food, the atmosphere decoration and level of service and attention are unsurpassed. We had use of the main house and the cottage the day before and on the day of the wedding. Rooms are first class, breakfast served the following morning by Tom and Heather excellent. Everyone at the wedding is singing the praises of Altnahammod and its hosts. This is not a five star hotel nor does it pretend to be, but I ca assure you, you will not receive a more genuine welcome and service anywhere. I would sincerely recommend this venue to all, and d you won’t be disappointed.

I couldn’t recommend Altahammond House enough! More importantly I couldn’t recommend Heather and Tom enough.
We had our wedding there on 25th September and we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day. From start to finish it was perfect.
We had the use of the main house and cottage the evening before the wedding. Myself and my 2 bridesmaid had a wonderful evening and I had THE best nights sleep before the big day. Breakfast was provided each morning and unsurprisingly it was delicious!
Heather and Tom along with their team made our day flow effortlessly! The energy that Heather brings is immense!!
Altahammond is a wonderfully quirky venue but it is Heather and Tom that make it so special and unique. Heathers creative touches are evident throughout. None of our guests had been in the venue before and they are still raving about how awesome our wedding day was … from our service to last orders …. It was faultless!!
The food was superb. The venue is something else. The McMasters and their team weaved and worked the room providing an outstanding service. No request was too much effort for them.
Heather and Tom make you feel like part of the family welcoming all to enjoy their efforts.

We could not believe our luck when we found Altahammond and knew it was exactly where we wanted to have our wedding reception. We had been let down by our previous venue but meeting Heather and Tom was like a big hug; they re-ignited the spark and excitement for our wedding. The whole venue is just beautiful and Heather really does have the best creative eye!! A lady of many, many talents. We had the most fantastic day and we cannot find fault; everything was perfect from the decor, to the food, to the staff, to the comfortable beds and breakfast the next morning!
